Brian and Ruth Christine Newsletter, December 2002, Edition 2
Hard to believe that this season is already here! Days are drawing so short as winter's solstice approaches. Being nomadic, we as a family would be somewhere southern by now if not in chains, but I have been enjoying the seasonal change here in high desert Oregon despite. At least it's sunnier out here than Western Oregon, even if colder. It's still not as cold as the Indiana winters I grew up in.
Ruth and I are doing well and God is taking care of us as He promises. Lately I've been praying two consistent petitions/requests-
1.) That God would speedily grow me in the areas necessary for survival and leadership after the coming judgment. 2.) That He would keep me humble and lowly.
Oh how He's been answering these prayers. It's painful to be kept humble, but it's glorious because God shines through so much brighter. I have begun teaching a class on creation here in prison and we have eight committed and highly enthusiastic class members. If anyone is interested in sponsoring an inmate by supplying him a textbook please write me directly at:

Do not mention the class in your letter, only that you want to purchase a book for an inmate. Unauthorized organizations are prohibited here which is why this is an unofficial class, in fact, let's not even call it a class, it's just some people talking :) So much control, so little reason? Please pray for our protection and for the indrawing of the lost to Our Jesus. God is Good. Amen -

A Tragic Story of Loss and Separation
That is what our story - the Christine family story is. There is no way to describe how it feels to lose your children, how it feels to have them taken away from you. The deepest agony, the deepest grief I have ever known. We all know that the bond between a Mother and her children is a powerful, beautiful thing, and when that bond is stretched or broken it is an awful thing.
Families are torn apart for different reasons, ours was at the hands of SCF (Services to Children and Families) here in Oregon. It's been two years now since our daughters were first taken away and the pain has dimmed just a little with the passing of time.
Initially I remember just throwing myself onto the bed and crying from the depths of my being and feeling such an utter sense of loss and hopelessness. No desire to eat or do anything. But the worst was the physical ache in my heart - a broken heart.
Even as I write this tears come to my eyes. This is the pain of a Mother. Any Mother who has lost a child or had them taken away from her knows this pain only too well. I just want to say that my heart goes out to you, it is tragic and I understand your pain.

Point of Surrender
There is a place, a point of surrender where the Holy Spirit steps in and takes over. When we reach a point where we know that we cannot do things in our own strength, that all our greatest deeds are really worthless in the sight of the Lord, that our strength just will not carry us through and we humble ourselves before God and ask for His help, He will be there, He will answer us. The Holy Spirit will step in when we are open to His presence - and oh how beautiful that is.
The moment the Sheriff's car pulled up beside me and the deputy grabbed my arm I surrendered. I didn't know, did not understand what God's plan was, why He was allowing this thing to happen, but I knew He was God, knew that I could trust Him, knew that He had a reason for doing this. In that moment, on that spot, I accepted the perfect will of My Father. And He gave me His Peace.
I was very calm, so calm that it amazed me. In the back of that Sheriff's car I sang "Jesus Loves Me" to comfort little Miriam who was crying. She surprised me by joining in and singing it with me till she fell quietly asleep. Something that meant so much to me, after a year of being away from us there was still that connection between us.
It is not possible to describe the pain I felt that day (and I am crying as I write this) but the peace and the comfort that I received was amazing. As Paul wrote in First Corinthians, God is the "God of All Comfort", how wonderful, how true.
When I walked into the jail I was a little scared, but I felt peace. I had been terrified of being arrested, but now I walked quietly and sang quietly to God. Instead of being controlled by fear, instead of being angry I was at peace.
I chatted with the guards and made a joke. I had lost my life, lost my husband, lost my children and yet my heart said everything was going to be okay. I do not say these things to build me up, I am not anything special, only My God who lives in me, He Ag special, He is worthy of Praise
Let me tell you something, those first few days in jail were some of the happiest days of my life up to that point. Because I knew I was in the Will of God and He was with me, hallelujah!
In surrendering to Him there is peace, there is life and life more abundantly. Amen

Ten Things That Are Important To Me
1.) To help create a safe, peaceful environment for my family through wisdom and guidance given to me by our Lord.
2.) To provide awareness of the condition of our planet by promoting safeguards to ecosystems, show ways to reduce global warming gases etc. and promote human development and welfare with sustainable practices.
3.) Promote green thinking, use of alternative power, fuels and transportations, eliminate ecoterrorism by promoting ecotourism. Corporation cleanups both ecologically and ethically. Build healthier using environmentally sensitive practices.
4.) Help create ways to reduce our nation's appetite for oil, better yet, help eliminate any dependency of fossil fuels.
5.) Stop the use of genetically engineered food, especially since we are not completely sure what sort of unseen perils are yet to come. This is very powerful technology and we need to understand it before we accept it.
6.) I want to promote living environments that are eco-friendly and totally sustainable internally. Large co-op neighborhoods with their own operational systems where everyone in the neighborhood has a say.
7.) I want to see our government put back in the hands of the people, instead of the greedy tyrants that we call politicians that run this country. We need to be a country guided by God through the people for the people. If we don't downsize this government, it will chew it's own foot off.
8.) Our society will be defined by not only what we are able to create, but by what we as humans refuse to destroy. It is imperative that we come together as God's people, learn not to be afraid of our oppressors, learn to live together but within our own environments. Share with one another, but stop the greed and abuse of our planet... God's Planet.
9.) I want to live to be an old, old man, but a wise old man. I want to see what we become and pray that maybe I made a difference.
10.) Finally, when I'm called home I hope my dad is there so I can tell him I Love him...

Letter Correspondence
I keep a very large amount of written correspondence going on and often while writing to a person, the Holy Spirit annoints me to write something I think is really insightful, or encouraging or may be a blessing to many. Here are two excerpts from recent letters...
Letter Excerpt from Wed. Nov. 6th 2002 to Robert & Jane Tims...
"...No, I have no clue what is going on with our appeal. There's almost no chance of a successful appeal anyways. I believe the success rate in Oregon for direct appeals is around 1%.
99% get stamped "Affirmed Without Opinion" which means no one ever even looked at it. So then you have to wait at least a year or more for the "post conviction" appeal which has a 5-10% success rate but the DA has a chance to appeal if you win! Now after his appeal is dragged out as long as possible by the state, we're 5-8 years down the road. When all state remedies are finally exhausted you move to the federal level which is more fair, but by now, most have already served their entire sentence. So the whole thing is set up against you from the beginning.
I expect no good thing from the current "State of Oregon". The people are consumed with evil and the rejection of God. There is a strong remnant here who will remain after God's refiner's fire passes through.
We will rebuild our nation together afterwards :) This was the prophecy over our marriage back in 1995. You mentioned that Arkansas is bound by its Constitution to operate strictly in the positive financially. So is Oregon, yet they are spending money from future tax revenue which are merely forecasts.
Oregon, through its outlandish human warehousing industry a.k.a. DOC prisons, has bankrupted itself and is coming up with a plethora of creative ways to sap its people of their resources through new taxes.
Get this... they tax cigarettes so steeply that people set up "businesses" trafficking them into the state or out of Oregon's Indian Reservations to the general population. The tax created demand for black market cigarettes which created a need for new law enforcement. Legislation was passed with harsh sentences to condemn the evil entrepreneurs. Now they've created a new specialized cigarette-smuggler-nabbing task force complete with expensive equipment and surveillance stuff to bust these people and lock them up for years and years thereby creating more need for prison space, the very thing that created the need for extra tax dollars in the first place!
Yes, believe it or not, the need for tax revenue in Oregon is largely due to its monstrous prison population created by ludicrous laws like Measure 11 which lock first time offenders up for decades. Another humorous but truly sad situation I see in here is the incarceration of Mexican aliens. Oregon constantly threatens the release of thousands of prisoners onto the streets to scare people into voting in new taxes. Here in prison the population of Mexicans is at least 25%. Prison is strictly "rehabilitative" by their rules, yet most of these prisoners are slated for deportation after serving their sentences here in Oregon. Most are staying long term under Measure 11 and are living a better life than they would on the streets of their homeland. Why is Oregon "rehabilitating" illegal aliens scheduled for deportation?

This is the kind of senseless stupidity that Oregonians choose to overlook. People are too busy and rich to care. Soon God will remove the value and power of their money, their god, their false idol. How then will their football save them? How will their electronics and TVs save them? How will their 401k "nest eggs" save them when they're nothing more than an empty brittle shell? How will their high tech sophistication and specialization save them when they can't grow their own food or treat their own wounds or build their own houses or deliver their own babies? We've gone so far away from reality that most people are completely out of touch. What value will a bag of dope have, how will it save in the coming days? We are in such desperate need of judgment and discipline yet many criticize our warnings and scoff. (By our I am speaking of the prophets, I'm finally willing to own up to my responsibility as a watchman :)
Amazingly, even the Christians speak only of mercy, grace and tolerance. Their concept of these is warped and distorted far away from a love foundation. Do they let their children wander free around a cliff and say "oh, they'll figure it out, my grace is sufficient..."? Basically people just aren't caring for their kids like God cares for His. May we learn from Him before its too late..."
- Letter Excerpt from Nov. 7th, 2002 to Patrick McKee...
"...Thankyou for your prayers. Yes, I do have a specific prayer request. Join me in prayer that Oregon would be brought to immediate repentance. I pray that the people will turn from their wickedness and seek the Living God in humble repentance of all their evil. But if they will not of their own accord then I pray that God would bring us to repentance through chastisement and scourging, burning off the dross. This means severe and harsh punishment to bring people to the realization that their money and all other false gods cannot save them. I pray for the devaluement of our money since most trust in it instead of God. I pray for a breakdown in the false god of governmental protection from harm and "social security". God shall be our rear guard and our high tower. We must take care of our elders as responsible family units should. What has happened to the family? I pray for REPENTANCE of our wicked nation. We need God's discipline. People keep asking for grace only to abuse it more and more. We've already spent our entire inheritance on harlots and vain gratifications. In a few short days we'll be longing for the pods the pigs eat. We need to humble ourselves and return to the Father who forgives and loves but-by no means is mocked or overlooks unrepented sin. Amen -"
The Visionary, Brian Christine -
Excerpt from a letter to Ruth from Emmanuel McLittle...
"...I often think of what the early Christians did to make the Name of Christ known all over the world. You and your husband remind me of them. They left their families, jobs, land and many gave their lives for the idea that humans were the offspring of the Most High, not the state. I loathe my own weak display of genuine Christianity and the milk-toast religion of today... But you are different. You are like the great ones who gave all for the cause. You and Brian could have easily played along and never have fallen into the state's hands. But you didn't. You wanted to live in a manner that didn't violate your conscience. You did not want to spend all your substance working, kissing the butt of the almighty dollar. You searched for a simple life, where you could raise your children in a stress free home, full of love. But the state is on guard for people like that. Anyone who tries to escape the death chamber the whole world is trapped in will be brought down. It may seem that the issue for which you are imprisoned involves your children. But that is just surface, No. The real issue is that you dared to live outside the box assigned to us by the state. You and Brian dared to be free.
Please, whatever you do, don't despair. God will surely take care of your children. They will be adults one day and will see you as I see you, one of the World's greatest heroes. You shame most people. You bring authentic Christianity alive right in our midst. Oh that there were 1,000 of you and Brian. The entire U.S. would be different.
Upon your conviction, I asked "How could it be?" Now I know. You frightened those in power.
You threatened to awaken the rest of us, a thing they could not tolerate. Do not regard your jail
time, you and Brian, as punishment. You are perhaps chosen to be great among men and women. And
most of the greats did time in prison. For you to be in the class of Paul, Peter, John the Baptist
is beyond comprehension. Don't listen to your mind, you did nothing wrong. You are innocent of
wrongdoing: you are being punished by any evil that was very threatened by your courage and boldness.
May God Bless your every breath..."

The Design of Women (from my limited view)
Women are receivers in many ways, very sensitive receivers. If abused they may unknowingly short circuit reception to block out the pain further abuse will cause. Some raised in abuse don't realize there's anything else and often gravitate towards that not knowing how to handle true and real love when they encounter it. They may run from it only to return to what they know too well, abuse and mistreatment.
Often they may not have the self-confidence to overcome the lies that hold them in bondage to an abusive situation. Common self-talk will be "I'm not worth being treated well, I deserve this" or "how could anyone love me? I'm an ugly person inside and out" or "sooner or later they'll find out who I really am, the one no one could love." These are the lies that trap women everywhere and block their potential from being realized.
It is time for women to be set free from oppression of this type and to truly be empowered. This not possible through man-hating or by creating some new women's' force. Rather, it requires the cooperation of both men and women. The key word here is co-operate. One cannot operate properly without the other. Anyone arguing otherwise is stupid. How long would the human race survive with the segregation of men from women? Not more than a single generation!
Women provide a balance, a gentleness and a softness to life that has no replacement. When God created man and all the plants and animals under heaven, He said it is "not good" for man to be alone and no suitable helper and mate was found among all creation. God said this was "not good"!
So He created a very special creature for a very specific purpose. Women need to realize how incredible this is, you were created SPECIALLY to fulfill a need that nothing else in all creation could! Nothing else can do what you alone can do! You are the ultimate helper and the ultimate mate.
Our society (really Satan behind it) has tried to downplay the significance and value/importance of both of these critical social functions. This is the most amazing way that women are both a helper and a mate...
Men must generate a steady supply of little mobile genetic code programmers, hacker/marathon- swimming hybrids! Women are born with a life-time's supply of code and these eggs receive, they just mosey along the 01e fallopian tube at a leisurely pace while all those wily blind marauders careen round every corner, flagella screeching! And how did they get there? Again, the female receives, the male must deliver.
So the female inherently has everything necessary to procreate except the part she must receive This is a picture of the relationship between man and woman. The man is incomplete without the mate and her help gives life to us all. For those of us who were blessed to be mothered, we all know the direct benefit of that helper creation that raised us.
So what do women receive in turn for fulfilling these two life sustaining roles? Well, we as men are hopelessly attracted to women, but what do women want, what do they need? Women need to be honored and deserve to be respected. Women are usually far smarter than they allow themselves to believe, and there's virtually nothing they cannot do and do it with a finesse that puts men to shame
Look at what women do during war time when all the men are away. I've seen film of women in factories turning out metal products in blazing heat, or mining and doing all manner of work usually considered off limits to women. They have been put into a box and it is time they break free of these constraints and grow into true women of destiny. There are so many Joan of Arcs out there waiting to happen. All they need is a little push and a small dose of encouragement.
Women need to be respected for who they are and as they grow up, they are to be encouraged in their giftings and taught to pursue their dreams, however "unrealistic" or unconventional. Women need a tender touch. So much of this life is hard, cold and brutal. Oh how few men understand how desperately women need a tender lover, not a hard callous distant empty shell.
Men, where did we buy the lie that boy's don't cry and men don't need to talk, don't need to be open, that we must internalize and handle it all on our own? No, this is not the way. We must break down these gender lies and build up on God's true design. I am speaking of strength and truth.
Women are receivers which means us men need to be givers, deliverers. We need to be chivalrous. No, not looking after a helpless incapable inferior creature, but protecting and nurturing a remarkable work of art that is to be cherished and treasured. Desire in your heart to hold her in your arms and you will continually want to bless her, to surprise her, to explore her and you will find delight in her and she in you.
Who knows true unity? The couple that's stuck together through thick and thin. You see, love is an action, it's a choice, it's not an emotion or something that fades away. Every day you either choose to love or to not love. Which will it be today?
I have a big hurt in my heart for women who are looking for that true love, who've been abused or gone through life unloved and unappreciated. I myself have selfishly contributed to that hurt throughout my life and in this time of reflection here in prison, God has changed me and grown me. I praise Him for that :)
To you ladies, I want to point you to Jesus. This is how much He loves you (John 8:3) how
much you mean to Him! She was caught breaking the law of her day and her punishment was death but
Jesus spared her, He didn't condemn her and He doesn't condemn you! Will you trust Him to save
you from yourself? Will you allow Him to embrace you and let Him be your Eternal Home, your
Forever Resting Place? So many of you are weary, always running, running, running. Please rest in
Jesus, He loves you unconditionally and He will give you rest. Amen -
