Brian and Ruth Christine Newsletter
November 2003 Newsletter
Hello all! We hope everyone is doing great. Ruth and I were blessed with a visit from Teri Christine (Brian's Mom) and our youngest daughter Abbey-Rose this month. We all had an excellent time. It was my 1st time ever meeting her (Brian). She is a very shy and particular child. She takes a while to warm up to people, so it was difficult at first. But the whole visit was amazing and it was like I already knew her. She acts an awful lot like Ruth, in fact, she looks exactly like the pictures we have of Ruth at that age. What a blessing it was to see her and to catch up with my mother. Thank You Jesus =).
I also was able to have other visits this month. Two close friends from Purdue University came to visit me just before Mom and Abbey-Rose and this past week I got a visit from my good friend from 7th grade. We've been through a lot together and it was really good to talk about our wives, children, struggles and growth in God. He drove 1300 miles from sunny Southern California. I've had more visits in the last month than most of my time in prison. Hallelujah!
As mentioned in the last newsletter, our direct appeal hearing is on the 25th of this month, now only days away. By the time this is published, it will be over, but we will not necessarily know the outcome right away. We will keep you posted. If something big happens, you may hear about it through mainstream media anyway. The possible outcomes are many and it's just not worth speculating on. Ruth and I are simply praying for God's deliverance and a mighty hand of Salvation. The robbery convictions are unjust and should be overturned. Amen.
Thanksgiving is soon too, and I will be turning 31 on Thanksgiving day. I really hope God gives me something really special to be thankful for this year. A serious reduction in sentence would be delightful. But Your will, not mine, Father.

Quote: "There are dark days, and God carries us through them, picks us up and dusts us off and lets us know He's behind us and to keep on pressing up in further.
He wants us to achieve immeasurably more than we've ever dreamed. With God at our helm, there is no disappointment, no lack of satisfaction. He is our total all-in-all." Brian Christine
Ruth and I are still growing closer together even though we're apart. That never ceases to amaze me =). I was sick as of late and did a lot of reading. I studied design of passive solar heated houses. I even drew up my own design. It has a waterfall and stream running through the main living space as well as a jungle style suspended bridge catwalk along the open 2nd story. It's hard to explain, without a picture. I've enjoyed working with solar PV since I was 7, but this passive method of heating is much more elegant and simple. I can't believe all houses aren't designed to harness this wasted energy! We thing we're so modern and advanced, yet 800 years ago, a very famous philosopher wrote "What separates the barbarian from the civilized is the failure to construct buildings with a large southern exposure to capture the heat of the sun". Guess that makes most Americans barbarians. If nothing else, it shows our stupidity because we pay for electricity or gas to heat what the sun could do for free! Enough of my rant.
I've also been studying health and nutrition, another are where we're far behind even so-called primitive peoples. We've fallen head over heels for the money idol, believing that money can solve all our problems when often, what is free or nearly free is the actual cure! Sigh. Why was I born into such a backward society? I suppose all societies are backwards in one way or another. I just object to the hypocrisy of my own nation, call me unpatriotic if you will. I'm actually just the opposite. It's the infidels who've perverted our very foundation and are chopping away at the roots of the liberty tree. God help us all. OK, there's my political spout for the week. Ha!

Please forgive how short the last few newsletters have been. They might grow if ever I get back to a computer screen (perhaps mid-January). But let's hope I don't have to write them from behind bars for much longer anyways. With God, all things are possible!
Love in Jesus, Brian Christine.
