Editor note 12-9-2009- This page is several years old.  Today I learn that apparently they have changed their name again, and it's a tad unclear exactly WHAT.  I guess they are now just DHS.  Whatever.  Same fascists by any name.

After they had terrorized the State and well earned a very bad reputation (possibly due to the 1992 Maine Study and the Whitehead case), they were "restructured" into the "new, improved" Oregon Services to Children and Families (SCF).  

After dirtying that name up and making it synonymous with tyranny and terrorism, now they are "restructuring" again, and the same agency, with the same people, the SAME mode of operation emerges freshly "reborn" as Oregon Children, Adults and Families (CAF).

Obviously, by including the word "families" they may hope it connotes that they are actually going to "help" families.  As a splinter off to the side of the big, splintery stinking mess, they have created the Children's Protective Services (CPS).  

Why they chose this name is beyond me.  It does make it handier for us in Family Rights advocacy, since we have to explain less about all the different names for these Nazi's.  In fact us advocates have been calling all the agencies by the generic term CPS for years.

You can be sure that the malicious and mendacious nature of Oregon's Child Abuse industry will NOT be modified in the near future.  The Federal Funding Streams provided by ASFA are too great an incentive to allow many family reunifications.

We in the Family Rights advocacy in Oregon expect to be kept very busy saving as many children and their parents as we can from the machine.
